How Transit Times Work
Freight shares trailer space with other shipments. Transit times are longer due to hub-and-spoke routing, but more cost-effective for smaller loads.
One driver, dedicated trailer. Estimated at 500–800 miles per day (avg. 650 mi) under FMCSA HOS rules — 11 hrs driving max per day.
Two drivers alternate, keeping the truck moving nearly 24/7. Estimated at 1,000–1,500 miles per day — ideal for time-sensitive long-haul freight.
All transit times shown are business days (Mon–Fri). Weekends and holidays are not counted unless the carrier offers weekend service.
Straight-line (as the crow flies) distance is used. Actual road miles are typically 15–25% longer. LTL hub routing may add additional time.
